ORYX SUPPORTS OxigeNATs ONLINE SERIES

OxigeNATs is a new nature and wildlife short series, in Catalan, spread through social networks, with all kinds of nature content, about biodiversity in our close environment, its knowledge, enjoyment, monitoring and conservation.

Among its goals, which ORYX share them all, is to encourage going out into the field, to oxygenate ourselves, with the aim of learning, often with "challenges" - such as contests and raffles with their prizes - to identify, locate, discover, photograph or record animals, plants, tracks or sounds that we did not know how to recognize.

OxigeNATs will also let to discover in a pleasant and sometimes also fun way, scientific works, conservation projects, educational or recreational actions that are carried out in any corner around the country, explained by its protagonists, many of them belonging to public and private institutions of all kinds, as well as some of them do it for personal interest. OxigeNATs will give a voice to many relevant initiatives that have not many opportunities to become visible on the mainstream media that only pay attention to the most spectacular or anecdotal events, often with partial with distorted approaches.

OxigeNATs has already the collaboration of several conservation nature Catalan institutions such as the Catalan Ornithological Institute Institut Català Ornitologia, the Centre de Ciència i Tecnologia Forestal de Catalunya and the Museu de Ciències Naturals de Granollers and it is expected that other similar initiatives will be enrolled soon.

Also ORYX, along with other private entities, we actively collaborate to ensure that the project grows and ends up being the main communication media about the NATURE that surrounds us, nature close to us that we often don't value enough.

Created, produced and directed by Toni Llobet, naturalist, illustrator and tireless leader of initiatives that bring to our society knowledge and awareness about the importance of Nature in our lives. With Ponç Feliu (ornithologist), Eli Bonfill (oceanographer) and Dani Fernández-Guiberteau (herpetologist) and willing to give voice to many people with knowledge and sensitivity towards biodiversity in the country.
