Tubular feeders are very easy to clean: simply unscrew the base and remove the central needle to get all the pieces to separate and then wash it with hot water.

Open bird feeders
In addition to the tubular feeders, we also have open feeders, designed for those species of birds that normally feed on the ground, such as robins, blackbirds, thrushes or finches.
These feeders have a plate at the base, designed to be filled with a special type of food for these birds: a mixture of seeds and insects with a wet texture which, if we're put in a tubular feeder, would clog it and make feeding difficult for them.
